ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Two popular restaurants that recently expanded to Delmar’s Maker District are shutting their doors this week, after reopening last year following tornado damage.
Danni Eickenhorst is the co-owner of Steve’s Hot Dogs and Fountain on Delmar, and after pouring their hearts into the two businesses in the Delmar Maker’s District, they’re closing them Saturday, largely due to the May 16 tornado.
“Really evident that we’re looking at a year’s long recovery for this neighborhood,” said Eickenhorst. “Been heartbreaking, it’s nothing we want. We did not anticipate this at all.”…
