Shoplifter accused of wielding knife at gas station clerks with meth in pocket

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A man was arrested after he reportedly shoplifted from a gas station and pulled a knife on two clerks while in possession of methamphetamine.

Joel Rodriguez, 25, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor.

The affidavit states that Rodriguez entered the Mohawk gas station at 1708 South State Street with an orange ski mask over his head on Tuesday.
