Truck, heavy equipment sinks into street after water main break in Northeast Portland

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A water main break forced the shutdown of a street in Northeast Portland.

Crews closed Northeast Bryant Street between Northeast 18th and 22nd Avenues Monday after crews found the structural integrity of the street was compromised.

Pictures shared with FOX 12 showed a dump truck and a digger sinking into the road.

The Portland Water Bureau said the water main break was repaired late Sunday night, ending flooding, but more work is needed to repair the resulting damage to the roadway…
