Alaska — Snow whips sideways across Prince William Sound as powerful winds erase the horizon. Visibility drops fast, drifts form quickly, and travel becomes a gamble as blizzard conditions tighten their grip this morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Anchorage, a Blizzard Warning remains in effect for Whittier and western Prince William Sound until mid-afternoon. Wind gusts are reaching near 50 mph, pushing snow into whiteout conditions. Additional snowfall remains light, but blowing snow reduces visibility to a quarter mile or less.
