Energy assistance program reopens after government shutdown

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The CSRA Energy Assistance and Weatherization Programs have reopened and are serving senior citizens after their funding was paused during the government shutdown.

At least 3,000 people have applied for help since the programs resumed taking new appointments.
