CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The Clarksville City Council is considering purchasing property on Union Street near downtown as part of an effort to create a permanent shelter for people experiencing homelessness.
City leaders say Urban Ministries is seeking to partner with the city on the project, which would expand existing outreach services and shift Clarksville from seasonal shelter options to year-round support.
