Kevin Hopfer, 48, of Morgantown, is accused of chasing another motorist after a reported hit-and-run near the intersection of Main Street and Valley Road on Sunday, Dec. 7, according to police.
Officers responded to the 3800 block of Main Street around 9:38 a.m. after a witness reported seeing a man exit his vehicle at a red light and approach another driver, authorities said. The second driver fled through a grassy area, fearing for their safety.
The victim later told police that Hopfer stopped behind them at the light, exited his vehicle, and began walking toward their car, according to the release.
