Vice Lords member, 60-year-old man among 67 arrested by task force Tuesday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Safe Task Force (MSTF) said it made 67 criminal arrests and seized 10 illegal firearms on January 6, according to a news release from U.S. Marshals.

Of the 67 suspects they say to have taken into custody on Tuesday, the task force emphasized the arrests of Montavius Wells, 28, who is a documented Vice Lords member, a juvenile, and 60-year-old Tommy Lee McShane.

Wells was arrested for first-degree murder, the juvenile was arrested for second-degree murder, and McShane was apprehended for second-degree murder of a man over his missing billfold in September of last year.
