NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — One East Nashville church has installed a new sign offering free parking to anyone who wants to use the lot. Since the addition, some are wondering if the idea should spread across the city as an alternative to street and paid parking.
Area residents and passers by found a “Free Parking for all” sign at Hope Church — with the only limitation being no overnight parking.
Pastor Frank Stevenson of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church said being a good neighbor is important. However, he also explained that there are some insurance limitations that come with people who park on church property. While he thinks it’s a great idea, the decision should be at the church’s discretion.
