‘From Richmond to Minneapolis’: Dozens gather for anti-ICE protest after deadly shooting in Minnesota

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Richmonders took to the streets Wednesday night after a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and killed an unarmed 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

On Wednesday, Jan. 7, 37-year-old mother Renee Nicole Good was shot dead by an ICE agent during a traffic stop in Minneapolis, where federal agents had recently launched an operation.

Video filmed by bystanders shows how the deadly encounter played out. An ICE agent approached a Honda Pilot stopped across the middle of a roadway and told the driver, Good, to open the door. When Good began to pull forward, another ICE agent standing in front of her vehicle pulled out his weapon and fired at least two shots into the Pilot at close range…
