MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – With rain moving in Thursday afternoon, environmentalists in Madison are warning of the risks that winter rainstorms can bring to Yahara lakes.
Experts said that as winter rain and rapid snowmelt become more common, Madison-area lakes will be affected.
Brian Daly enjoys sailing and is one of the 2.7 million people who enjoy Madison’s waterways every year. He said the lakes are an “incredible resource for Madison.”
