Omaha detective shot in gas station shootout speaks about recovery, community support

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Detective Jordan Brandt expects to be back on full duty soon after a bullet shattered his femur during a South Omaha gas station shootout one month ago.

Brandt was one of four officers injured in a gunfire exchange with a suspect at the gas station. Officers had responded after spotting a vehicle wanted in connection to an earlier shooting.
