Fort Bragg paratrooper identified as victim in deadly crash

ANDERSON CREEK, N.C. (WNCN) — New information has emerged from a fatal crash at an intersection in Harnett County over the weekend.

Fort Bragg has told CBS 17 that the driver who died in the crash — Sergeant Triston Amarion Pippins, 22 of Mount Pleasant, Texas — was a paratrooper for the U.S. Army. A spokesperson with Fort Bragg said Pippins was a parachute rigger and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division in 2022.
