FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – The Fort Wayne Police Department has a new leader, as the prior chief stepped down effective Thursday.
P.J. Smith, who has been with the FWPD for more than 40 years, is now its police chief. He’s taking the place of Scott Caudill. A reason for Caudill’s departure was not provided.
