REEDLEY – In the wake of reports on military action in Venezuela, a humble but mighty group of concerned community members gathered to advocate for a future of peace.
On Jan. 6, protesters gathered in front of Reedley College to advocate against the use of military force in foreign countries, following the arrest of Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. Organized by the Reedley Peace Center, more than 20 community members stood their ground to spread their message.
“We know that Maduro is not a good leader, and he’s not a legitimate leader,” said Hope Nisly of the Reedley Peace Center. “Even so, it’s not our place to go in there and do what they did, then say, ‘we will now run the country.’ This is wrong.”…
