SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. (WMC) – Shelby County Clerk Wanda Halbert received vindication over unpaid rent at the clerk’s satellite office in Millington.
A Shelby County Commission committee agreed to send a resolution to the full commission that, if approved, would provide the $28,000 needed to cover the back rent. The commission may increase that amount to cover payments at the Whitehaven and Raleigh locations.
