Henrietta pop-up pantry delivers fresh, healthy food to families in need

HENRIETTA, N.Y. — Foodlink teamed up with Heritage Christian Services to host a pop-up pantry at Pieters Family Life Center in Henrietta. The event took place Wednesday afternoon and aimed to provide fresh, healthy food to families in need.

The pantry had enough supplies to serve up to 250 families. People could drive up and have the food loaded directly into their cars.

“We’re all stretching our dollar differently. We’re all working to get the right kind of food at the right time,” said Marisa Geitner, president and CEO of Heritage Christian Services. “For some folks, these pop-up pantries are exactly what they need. They’re quick and efficient as you can see. They don’t even have to get out of their car.”…
