Delaware State Police are investigating an accident Wednesday night, January 7, 2026, involving a firefighter in front of the Five Points Fire Company on Maryland Avenue.
Fire company officials said their ladder truck was backing into the station around 8 p.m. after returning from a run, when one of the firefighters, who was off the rig, was hit by a vehicle.
He was treated at the scene by New Castle County paramedics and taken to Christiana Hospital…
