MISSISSIPPI — A man was shot early Thursday morning while sitting inside a vehicle with his wife and another acquaintance, according to the Jackson Police Department.
Detective Tommie Brown said the shooting occurred during the early morning hours of Jan. 8, 2026, in the 200 block of Mason Boulevard. Police said the vehicle was approached by an unknown man, who then fired multiple shots into the vehicle.
The male victim was struck and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Police said the victim’s wife and the other passenger were not injured…
