AUSTIN (KXAN) — Six Texas metro areas ranked on a “growth list,” created by moving truck rental company U-Haul, for having the highest net gain of one-way rentals from the company.
The list looks at how many one-way rentals started in one metro area and were dropped off in another metro. Nationally, the company sees more than 2.5 million one-way moves each year, according to a press release from the company.
Dallas retained the top spot. Houston surged to second from ninth place. Austin is third on the list, up from fifth last year. The metro of Brownsville and McAllen reached the 10th spot this year after being at #21 last year. Two other Texas cities also made it into the top 25: San Antonio at 21 and College Station at 23…
