Cause determined after 60-foot tree falls on parked car

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – State officials determined why a 60-foot Rainbow eucalyptus tree fell on a parked car Monday night.

The incident occurred at the Pacific Palisades community park on Akepa Street around 11:30 p.m.

A nearby resident told Hawaii News Now they heard a loud cracking sound, followed by glass breaking.
