Loudoun County Transit bus driver charged after pedestrian dies following collision

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A 63-year-old driver for a Loudoun County Transit bus has been charged after a pedestrian was killed on Dec. 1, 2025, deputies said.

The pedestrian was reportedly struck on Croson Lane near Moorefield Boulevard. Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) then began an investigation.

Following an extensive investigation by the LCSO Crash Reconstruction Unit and in consultation with the Loudoun County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, the driver, Feseha Glmariam Ambaye, of Fairfax, was charged yesterday with failure to yield to a pedestrian, a class 1 misdemeanor.
