MULGA, Ala. (WIAT) — A local neighborhood is mourning the deaths of two people killed in a house fire. According to the Jefferson County coroner’s report, the Minor Fire Department responded to the fire on Pine Street, that’s when two people inside the home were found dead.
The fire Wednesday night destroyed nearly the whole home here on Pine Street. The entire front of the house is ash and not much is left standing in the back. Neighbors say the brother and sister who lived in the house will be greatly missed.
“It’s devastating. It really is, seriously. It hurts,” said lifelong friend and neighbor Eddie Jefferson. “That was a true friend. It hurts.”…
