Ashville, NY – Three southern Chautauqua County school districts are beginning a feasibility study to explore a possible merger, a process that could impact more than 1,000 students across the region.
A public meeting was held Thursday, Jan. 8, at Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES (E2CCB) in Ashville to introduce the study, explain the process, and answer questions from community members.
The feasibility study involves Clymer Central School, Sherman Central School District, and Panama Central School. Clymer serves 317 students, Sherman enrolls 390, and Panama has 382. District leaders say the study will help evaluate long-term educational options for southern Chautauqua County…
