A man suffering from “multiple mental disorders” fled in a golf cart after an altercation involving another man at his home in The Villages.
Mark Aaron Addison, 39, who lives on Foxfield Path in the Village of Belvedere, is facing a charge of battery following his arrest Tuesday afternoon by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies.
Addison was “angry” and became “belligerent” with a man who was seated on the lanai of the home they share. Addison “flipped” the hat off the other man’s head and shoved him down into his chair, according to an arrest report. Addison fled in a golf cart, but was tracked down by deputies and taken into custody. The arrest report did not disclose the nature of the relationship with the man who was attacked.
