Sports agent accused of stealing money from clients

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A sports agent was charged after he was accused of embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars from clients.

Lucas Mirtl, 42, has been charged with four counts of wire fraud after he stole money from two clients, the Department of Justice said.

According to the indictment, Mirtl worked as a sports agent for a sports marketing and talent management company based out of Los Angeles. Between August 2023 and January 2025, he perpetrated a scheme to defraud two clients, the DOJ said…
