Florida State football fans came into the offseason wondering who the Seminoles would grab at quarterback from the transfer portal. The program has acquired a transfer signal-caller each of the past two cycles with DJ Uiagalelei and Thomas Castellanos.
While some individuals were excited to see redshirt freshman Kevin Sperry elevate into the starting lineup in 2026, there were only two scholarship options on the roster, with him and four-star signee Jaden O’Neal.
As a result, Florida State decided to add former Stanford and Auburn quarterback transfer Ashton Daniels. This is one of the three signal-callers that they decided to bring on campus. The other two options were UNLV’s Anthony Colandrea and Florida’s DJ Lagway.
