Dad of 3 Allegedly Shot & Killed by Former Soldier During Argument About Target Parking Spot

Road rage is a very real issue. There have been many stories about people getting extremely angry over the way someone is driving on the road. Maybe we’ve even seen it or felt it ourselves. Although many people may let their anger dissipate privately, some simply can’t let it go. That could lead to confrontation, and those confrontations can, unfortunately, turn deadly. It’s heartbreaking when that happens. Days after the new year, Georgia dad Matthew Traywick lost his life after what appears to be a road rage incident. Traywick was shot at his local Target, allegedly over a parking spot.

Savannah police responded to the shooting not long after 4 p.m. January 4, 2026, they shared in a news release. When officers arrived, they found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he ultimately died as a result of his injuries.

According to police, the suspect, 30-year-old Tyler Linn, remained at the scene. He was subsequently charged with murder and aggravated assault. Currently, it is unknown when he will appear in court…
