EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A 33-year-old man who died in Socorro last month was shot in his home during a house party, according to a bond hearing that took place on Thursday, Jan 8.

As KTSM has previously reported, the shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, at the 10100 block of Cyan Valley Road. Three victims were transported to a local hospital, and one victim, who was later identified as Jose Avila, 33, died.
A bond hearing was held for one of the defendants, only identified as Quintana. During the hearing, his public defender claimed that Quintana is still in high school and has no prior criminal history. Quintana is accused of hiding a gun in a murder case.
