Sheriff: Boats, firearms stolen in Grosse Tete and Rosedale

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking into thefts in Grosse Tete and Rosedale.

Deputies said the most recent incidents involve the theft of two boats that contained firearms and a generator. Investigators also said that in December, a firearm was stolen from a deer stand. A gaming console and a laptop were also reported stolen from a house.

The sheriff’s office urges residents to lock their homes and cars. They should also stay alert for any suspicious activity. Anyone who notices anything unusual is encouraged to contact law enforcement immediately.
