LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — Officer Ross Bartlett was only 54 when he was killed during a traffic stop on Highway 77 just south of Ceresco in April 2024.

On Thursday, nearly two years later, his widow sat in the front row of a Lancaster County Courthouse, holding the wedding ring she wears on a necklace, listening to the sentence read out for the man who was on his cell phone and caused Bartlett’s death.
