ST. LOUIS — Darius Young was supposed to be preparing for his 60th birthday party on Jan. 3. Instead, he had to go to the emergency room, wondering how a quick trip to help a relative turned into a life-threatening collision with a vehicle fleeing police.
The crash occurred at about 8 a.m. near Geyer Avenue in the Soulard neighborhood.
