Des Moines Man Sentenced to Probation Following a House Burglary Incident in Greene County

A Des Moines man was recently sentenced to probation for a burglary incident that happened in Greene County.

According to court documents, 48-year-old David Lehman pled guilty to two Class D Felonies for aiding and abetting second degree theft and third degree burglary. Court documents show that Lehman had two five year prison sentences suspended and was placed on probation for five years with the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.

The charges stem from an incident that happened in July of 2025. The criminal complaint reports that Lehman and another individual stole items from a home after hearing about a homicide that took place at the same residence and they thought no one was there and they burglarized it twice and stole a total of $35,000 worth of items…
