PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland police have made an arrest after a burglary suspect barricaded themselves in a home.
Officers responded to the scene in the 600 block of SW Sherman Street just after 5 p.m.
“Over the course of the next two hours, the suspect refused to comply with the officers’ commands numerous times. At approximately 7:30 p.m., PPB’s Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) responded to the scene to assist,” police said. “Streets in the area are cordoned off as PPB personnel work to bring this incident to a safe conclusion.”
