$3.2 million land sale paves the way for ‘best-in-class retail area’ in Huntsville

The Huntsville City Council approved the $3.2 million sale of more than 15 acres of land across from the planned $240 million North Village Town Center on Thursday night.

City Urban and Economic Development Director Shane Davis said the sale to Hank Holdings, LLC, will help secure additional retail and restaurants that will occupy the property across from the shopping center where Target and Home Depot are planned at the intersection of the Northern Bypass and North Memorial Parkway.

“Upon approval of this surplus and property sale, they will be able to enter those contracts,” Davis said. “As we get into the year, those known users will become public.”…
