Person arrested during ICE protest in Kalamazoo, KDPS says not believed to be a protester

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A person was taken into custody Thursday night during a protest held in Kalamazoo against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS), though the department told News Channel 3 that the individual does not appear to have been part of the demonstration itself.

Video shared with our station by a protester shows KDPS officers on bicycles chasing after and arresting a person near City Hall, as protesters nearby shout at them, and the officers use their bicycles as a blockade.
