Flu cases surge to 25 year high, pharmacist shares medication to fight the virus

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — According to the CDC, the U.S. is experiencing it’s highest rate of flu cases in at least 25 years.

Alabama is one of 19 states reporting the highest levels of respiratory illness.

In the midst of this flu season, Dr. Jennifer Campbell, co-owner of MedsPLUS Consulting’s Pharmacy and Wellness Center, said antiviral medications such as Oseltamivir, also known as Tamiflu, are in demand.
