NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Tennessee’s favorite daughter has lent her iconic voice to a short film that celebrates the Volunteer State ahead of America’s 250th birthday.
Gov. Bill Lee unveiled the short film, Tennessee: The Original Frontier, on Friday. The video is narrated by national treasure, Dolly Parton, and highlights Tennessee’s contributions to America.

“As we approach the 250th anniversary of American independence, I’m grateful to Dolly Parton for lending her powerful voice to Tennessee’s story of courage, perseverance, and opportunity,” said Gov. Lee in a release. “This short film honors the generations of Tennesseans whose contributions shaped America, and invites people across our state and nation to reflect on our rich heritage that defines us.”
