Three women take first steps to homeownership with Habitat for Humanity

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Three women out of Palm Beach County are taking the first step towards homeownership with a groundbreaking ceremony.

This Friday, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Palm Beach will hold a groundbreaking to mark the start of construction on two of three affordable homes through its Women Build 2026 initiative. The organization says the initiative aims to raise $750,000 to help build three affordable homes for women-led households in West Palm Beach.

The groundbreaking marks a milestone in the campaign, which is intended to bring together women and the men who support them. The initiative addresses the urgent need for safe, decent and affordable housing in Palm Beach County…
