SOUTHPORT, N.C. (WECT) – The suspect in the September mass shooting that happened in Southport has been indicted, according to court records.
Nigel Edge was arrested on Sept. 28 for the shooting at American Fish Company that resulted in three deaths and multiple injuries.
Court records said that Edge was indicted on Jan. 5 for the following charges:
- Three counts of first-degree murder
- Discharging a firearm into an occupied property
- Attempted first-degree murder
- Assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill or inflict serious injury
The indictments come after a joint motion to continue the case to 2026 was filed in November…
