The Rockford Police have released the results of a statewide holiday traffic enforcement campaign aimed at preventing crashes and saving lives.
Statewide Safety Campaign Hits Rockford Streets
During the recent holiday season, the Rockford Police Department joined the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and law enforcement agencies across Illinois in a coordinated traffic safety enforcement effort.
The initiative combined the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over,” “Drive High. Get a DUI,” and “Click It or Ticket” campaigns, focusing on impaired driving and seat belt compliance from December 12 through January 5.
Enforcement Results Show Measurable Impact
According to enforcement data released by Rockford PD, officers made three impaired driving arrests during the campaign period.
