National AIDS Memorial Quilt comes to Rockford City Hall

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – A part of a national memorial, honoring more than 700,000 Americans who lost their lives to AIDS, is set to travel to Rockford this month.

Starting Monday, Jan. 12, four panels of the National AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display in the lobby of Rockford City Hall. The display will be open during City Hall’s regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Quilt will be there through Jan. 23.

There are also special viewings set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17 and Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 19…
