Protest held in Albany against deadly ICE shooting

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – Local officials and residents are expressing their outrage about the deadly shooting in Minneapolis of a civilian by an ICE officer.

Protestors gathered on Thursday afternoon in front of the federal courthouse in Albany.

State Sen. Pat Fahy and Assemblymember Gabriella Romera, both Albany Democrats, are calling for passage of legislation that will hold ICE accountable. The bills include the New York for All Act, which would ensure that state resources are not used to assist federal ICE operations…
