The Jefferson County Family Resource Center will give out healthy food boxes to community members in Birmingham and Bessemer throughout 2026.
The food distributions are about building community, said Carrie Buntain, executive director, Jefferson County Family Resource Center. Through a partnership with Grace Klein Community, a local non-profit, the boxes are packed with free, healthy food options, a service that has fed hundreds of families.
“You cannot achieve being your best and having a quality of life without access to good, healthy foods,” Buntain said. “It’s all about giving back.”…
