CINCINNATI (WXIX) – Gun violence in Cincinnati dropped to its lowest level in three years during 2025, with 241 shootings recorded compared to 313 in 2023, according to city crime data.
The 2025 total represents the least deadly year for gun violence since the pandemic, when residents were largely confined to their homes. Shootings fell from 313 incidents in 2023 to 296 in 2024, then dropped more dramatically to 241 in 2025.
