SOUTH CAROLINA — A man is in custody following a multi-county pursuit that began after a deputy’s vehicle was intentionally rammed in the Upstate on Wednesday afternoon, according to law enforcement.
Around 2:15 p.m., deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Reedy Fork Road and Saddlebred Drive in Pelzer in connection with suspected drug-related activity. Deputies said the driver initially pulled over but then intentionally rammed a deputy’s patrol vehicle multiple times before fleeing the scene.
A brief pursuit followed, but deputies terminated the chase due to the danger it posed to the public. A short time later, the suspect’s vehicle was located by the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, which pursued the vehicle into Laurens County…
