Parents charged in Vanderburgh County after infant removed from “urine soaked” carseat

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Two parents have been booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on multiple charges after authorities say they discovered a 9-month-old strapped tightly into a urine soaked carseat without a diaper while responding to a dispute.

According to an affidavit, deputies were dispatched to a 911 hangup in the 5800 block of Westbrook Circle at approximately 1:40 a.m.. At the scene, authorities say they located Mackenzie Crowe, 28, of Evansville, and Noah Waters, 28, of Richland City.

Authorities say Crowe informed them that she had been driving with Waters and their 9-month-old after spending the evening at a friend’s house. The two had reportedly been reportedly arguing, and Waters allegedly kicked the steering wheel and Crowe’s leg while she was driving. While speaking with Waters, he reportedly told deputies he was kicking at Crowe in an attempt to kick the car into neutral while she was driving, because he believed it was safer than for her to continue driving…
