FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – A woman whose infant needed Narcan after being exposed to cocaine and fentanyl was sentenced Friday.
A judge in Allen Superior Court handed 26-year-old Kayla Devreax four years of prison time.
On Aug. 19, 2023, Devreax called 911 because her son was having trouble breathing. First responders found the 1-year-old child with his eyes rolled back, police wrote in court documents. Within 5 to 10 seconds of being given Narcan, the boy was revived and his breathing went back to normal…
