LANCASTER, Pa. — On Monday evening, the Lancaster Township Board of Supervisors approved a four-year collective bargaining agreement with the Lancaster Township Police Officers Union which lined up with the resignation of the township’s police chief.
Chief Bradley Getz submitted his 90-day notice of resignation on Thursday, Jan. 8. Getz started in July 2024 and led the establishment of the township’s new police department — the first in decades.
Getz will remain with the department for up to 90 days to assist with the transition and search for his successor. He is set to pursue new opportunities closer to his home in the Spring-Ford area of Montgomery County…
