Immokalee Foundation receives $3.4 million from Donna Demo Trust

The Immokalee Foundation in Naples, Florida, has received $3.4 million from the Donna Demeo Trust in support of the southwest Florida nonprofit’s youth and young adult education and workforce development programs, Florida Weekly reports.

The gift will help expand the long-term impact of the foundation’s Career Pathways initiative for students living in Immokalee, an underserved part of the Naples Metro region. To that end, the funding will foster career exploration, technical skill development, paid internships, and mentoring from middle school through postsecondary completion.
